The veteran designer, who likes to blend tradition with modernity, and uses the rich embroidery heritage of India for her bridal collection, has once again visited history for Genelia. Ritu wanted to avoid the usual bling and shimmer for Genelia’s wedding trousseau because she didn’t want clothes to overshadow the actress’ vivacious personality. “The silhouette which I designed for her (Genelia) is simple yet elegant and chic,” says Ritu Kumar.
Ritu Kumar has designed two dresses for Genelia, and for the wedding day, Kumar has designed a lehanga, choli and odhni in gold and indigo blue for Ritesh Deshmukh’s bride. The blouse is made of indigo blue velvet with antique dhapka embroidery, while the lehanga has antique gold weaving with zardozi embroidery. According to the designer, the wedding ensemble of Genelia resembles a 19th century archival piece.

It seems Katrina Kaif is not only in demand in Bollywood but also down south. Recently, it was heard that she might sign Kochadaiyaan with the superstar Rajinikanth, and now, reports suggests that she is approached for a film opposite the talented Kamal Haasan.

Shahrukh’s Kids Are Getting Affected With the Slap Story

Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan on Wednesday refused to categorically state whether he had slapped Shirish Kunder or not but said the reportage on the incident was affecting his kids.
“Lots of things are being said about my life in news channels but the stuff which you put up in the channels are not the whole truth. This is embarrassing at times as I have a 14-year-old son and an 11-and-a-half year old daughter,” said Shah Rukh, who was in the city to address a programme.
The Bollywood badshah felt it was embarrassing for a father to explain certain issues to his children.
“Every morning it becomes very difficult to explain to your children and it becomes embarrassing as a father, as a brother or as elder son of the family to explain about what is stated,” he told reporters
